All Houndstown collars include either heavy polypropylene (lined collar base) or flat nylon (unlined) webbing, cast or bonded nickel and brass hardware, and are sewn in a market basic & quot; & quot; Box -X & quot; sew pattern with bonded nylon thread for optimum security and comfort.

Exactly what is a martingale collar?

A martingale collar is made with 2 loops-one that goes nearly all the way around the canine’s neck, and a 2nd that connects the sides together. When tightened (either by the pup pulling or by correction from the leash), the D-ring that is on the second loop pulls the 2 sides together, diminishing the circumference of the collar. Can I clean a Houndstown collar

All our items are washable. We suggest either hand washing with an item such as Woolite, or simply tossing the collar or leash into a lingerie bag and using the fragile cycle. Lay flat to dry.
