Give breath to an idea, give way to imagination, let your talents spew into a realm of unknown and what has yet to be made. Alone we may shine – but together we create greatness. The art of collaboration lies in the ability to share an inner piece of yourself, merging talents to unify a larger whole and bring a multitude of visions into a tangible reality.

We spent a day with hair gurus Heather and Benjamin, alongside makeup genius Karolina in their space, Hairroin Salon. Watching them at work while they created these four effortlessly easy, surely-can-do-yourself looks… well, it was incredibly inspiring… had to go home and try it myself (with success). Check out the tutorials below, and be sure to let us know if you try these looks out for yourself!

The Feathered Fishtail
Heather Rae used a small amount of Sebastian Molding Mud in Stormee’s hair for a slightly separated finish and created a messy fishtail braid. She finished the look with Sebastian Shine Shaker – a weightless aerosol shine mist — to make it sparkle like a diamond.

Karolina used MAC paint pots in Legendary Black and Tailor Grey on her lids and created dramatic lashes with MAC False Lash. She illuminated Stormee’s skin with Napoleon Perdis Light Patrol Luminizer Palette and MAC Shine Mixing Medium. To create that perfect fall pout, mix NYX lip pencil in Espresso with MAC Shitaki lipstick.

Swept Away Waves
Benjamin wanted to play with the volume in Stormee’s hair, so he took medium-size sections and wrapped them around a 1” curling iron in random directions. Using Oribe Thick throughout, he gently backcombed her hair towards her scalp from roots to ends using his fingers, and finished the look with Oribe Anti-Humidity to shield frizz and add shine.

To enhance Stormee’s blue eyes, Karolina added MAC Brown Script and Antiqued eyeshadow to her lids as well as False Lash mascara and NYX Lip Pencil in Natural.

Roped & Rattled
To get this wild-textured and tousled look, Heather Rae sprayed R+Co Death Valley Dry Shampoo into Stormee’s hair for instant volume and to create a messy texture. Next, she added a mixture of rope braids and 3-strand braids using a small amount of R+Co Aircraft Pomade Mousse which helps keep the body but creates a tousled, separated look. Small leather straps were added at the ends of the braids.

Karolina added MAC Tailor Gray and Legendary Paint Pots over Artificial Artifact eyeshadow to create a sultry look that perfectly works with this biker-babe-inspired look. To get that perfect-skin glow, she patted MAC Shine Mixing Medium over Stormee’s brows and cheekbones.

Rock n’ Roller
To get this look, Benjamin used 1-1/4” hot rollers on dry hair. After leaving them in for 20 minutes, he removed the rollers and misted her locks with Oribe Thick to conjure up volume in the model’s beautiful waves, brushing them out gently using his fingers. He finished the look by spraying Oribe Soft, a weightless silkening spray onto the ends of the hair for a cashmere-soft finish

Karolina’s secret weapon for this makeup look was giving Stormee’s eyes a soft, velvety finish with MAC Uninterrupted eye shadow, False Lash mascara and BB Bronzer in Amber.

Big thanks and big love to all you beauties….
