Do you want it just across the top? or do you also want it down both sides? Swags? Puddles on the ground? For most average size arbors and arches, most use anywhere from 480 inches (40 feet) to 60 feet (VERY full designs) but it’s really up to you and your style to decide. With 40 feet, you can cover all 3 sides of most average arbors (8 feet tall and 8 feet across) with some left to make into swags. Add extra if the poles are really large (takes a lot of fabric sometimes to wrap around larger log poles). If you want an extra panel on one side, add the height again to your total (so if 8 feet tall, add another 8 feet and get 48 feet instead of 40). When in doubt, always get a bit extra. You will love how non-fussy this fabric is so just cut off any extra and use it in another area –maybe cover a small table next to the arbor for a Bible, candle, prop area? Puddle it under a floral arrangement? Just so much fun and so many uses…. Table runners: To decide length, first decide the style you prefer. Over the edge to the floor? Add an additional 62″ to your table length as each drop to the floor is around 30-31″ for an average table height… Add an extra 4-5 feet total to puddle on the floor (more of you want large puddles). Going just half way down the table to floor? Add about 30″-31″ to your table length to get it about 15 inches over the table edge at both ends. Gather or tie with raffia, ribbon, lace, or any variety of items to tie around the ends. Add a sprig or feather and you’ll have very cute, modern tables… Please note this fabric is very easy to cut off so always err on the side of going to long and just cut off extra bits.
