An Easy Oscar Cocktail To Kick Off Your Academy Awards Party

Celebrate the Oscars with a quick and easy (and super delicious) 4-ingredient cocktail!

The grey, freezing cold doldrums of February don’t offer much in terms of inspiration, but when the 28th rolls around, they do proffer one gold and glittery excuse to throw a party: The Oscars. Whether you actually watched the films or not, nothing lifts you out of a late winter funk quite like gathering with a group of friends, whipping up some snacks and cocktails and speculating over who will win and who will walk away empty handed. As the 28th draws closer, now is the time to start planning your awards season celebration.

When it comes to entertaining, I’m all about ease. The snacks and treats should be simple, and so should the drinks and cocktails. While a fancier cocktail is nice from time to time, when serving more than two people, I don’t want to spend my night mixing and shaking and pouring. Enter: The Champagne & St. Germain. Just three easy-to-find ingredients mixed in the glass and garnished with fresh frozen raspberries, nothing could be simpler or more refreshing. If you’ve never tried St. Germain before, you’re in for a treat. Light and floral, this elderflower liqueur compliments the bubbles of Champagne beautifully and hints at the season to come with notes of lavender and orange blossom. Fresh, easy, and fun…it makes the perfect Oscar party cocktail.

Champagne & St. Germain Raspberry Fizz

Ingredients:

2 oz. Champagne or sparkling wine

2 oz. St. Germain

Seltzer (I used blackberry La Croix)

1-2 packages fresh raspberries, frozen (fresh raspberries tend to hold their shape better than pre-frozen)

Combine Champagne and St. Germain in a glass, top off with as little or as much seltzer as you’d like. Garnish with raspberries. Toast!
