  • “Very easy and tasty. Didn’t have the soup, but I did have frozen broccoli. I just microed it, chopped it up into very tiny pieces, added some finely chopped onion, seasoning salt, paprika and lots of fresh cracked pepper to a can of regular cream of chicken soup, added the water and some Thai rice. Popped it in the oven and ended up with a hit! Chicken was moist and tender, rice was creamy and yummy. Thanks for posting, bert!”

  • “Loved it! The second time I made this I doubled the rice and cream of chicken and broccoli soup.I also added fresh broccoli florets for a little extra something.Very simple, delicious recipe.”

  • “Easy and delicious!I used cream of broccoli and basmati rice with chicken broth instead of the water.I can’t think of an easier way to prepare chicken.”

  • “I love quick and easy dishes that taste great – and this one is right on the mark! As written it can be a little on the bland side, but other reviewers have already offered some great ideas to help liven it up! Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing!”

  • “We really liked this recipe!I used one can of cream of chicken and one can of cream of broccoli, added chopped onion and chopped broccoli to the rice, and baked in a 9 x 13 pan with four very large bone-in chicken breasts.I think there were maybe 9 grains of rice left in the pan when the boys were through.Delicious!!”

  • “This was quite good! My teenage DD loved it, but DH thought it “needed something”. Great base recipe that I will use often. Didn’t have the soup with broccoli, so I used cream of chicken soup with frozen broccoli pieces. I’m thinking of subbing peas next time. Thanks for posting!”

  • “I prepared this almost as written – only addition was fresh broccoli for a bit more veggie goodness – the chicken was tender & tasty, the rice was a bit on the bland side.I’ll try this again but next time I’ll kick the rice up with more seasoning added directly into the liquid mix and not just on the chicken. Thanks for posting bert.”

  • “OK.I screwed-up.I accidentally bought broccoli-cheese soup.Followed the directions otherwise and it came out great.A good, easy, week-night dinner.”

  • “My family really loves this recipe! I love it too because it is soooo easy. Sometimes I use broccoli and cheese soup to change it up a bit. Thanks for a great recipe!!”

  • “WOWSER, talk about easy and tastes good too.Since there were a couple of comments about the taste, I jazzed it up a bit by using basmati rice and rather than water, I substituted Pacific Natural Foods free range Chicken Broth. This I buy at Fred Meyer’s in the health food section. It is in a one qt box. Thanks Bert, this is a great “busy day” meal, it is staying in my cookbookAkRascal”

  • “This was OK, but really quite bland.I’m not really sure what I would add to spice it up a little.Maybe some Lawrey’s?Maybe some onion? Some fresh vegetables, especially broccoli might be good with this, also.It seems to have a lot of possibilities. The chicken turned out nice and moist and this dish was extremely easy to make.”

  • “Easy and quick chicken and rice casserole. The rice is so moist and the soup makes a bit of gravy around the chicken. I did have to add some additional seasoning as it was a bit to mild tasting for us. “

  • “love this recipe. chicken and the rice taste so good and its so easy to make. my husband just loves this”
