    Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cupmargarine
  • 3/4 cupsugar
  • 1egg, beaten
  • 1cupmashed ripe banana
  • 1teaspoonvanilla
  • 1 3/4 cupsflour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonsbaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1pinchsalt
  • 1/2 cupsour milk
  • Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 (8ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cupmargarine
  • powdered sugar
  • Directions

  • Cream margarine and sugar.
  • Add egg, bananas and vanilla.
  • Blend well.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients to the banana mixture alternately with 1/2 of the milk.
  • Blend after each addition.
  • Pour into 9 inch square pan.
  • Bake in 350F oven for 45-50 minutes.
  • Cream Cheese Frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter together.
  • Add powdered sugar to taste.
