Beautiful Red Japanese Maple Tree in a Purple Landscape Large Fine Art Print by Krystyna81

30,00 USD

Stunning print of a strong red Japanese Maple tree in late fall. 11 & quot; & quot; square image on 13 & quot; & quot; x 19 & quot; Super B Canson Velin paper.

This tree is just a short distance from my house, and I go by it practically every day. This fall, it was one of the last trees to hold on to it’s intense red leaves. In the late afternoon, as the sun was beginning to set, the light behind the tree made the whole mass of red leaves seem to glow from within.

(I hope that nobody minded me parking in the middle of the street one afternoon to take this photo!)

My goal in this painting was to capture the amazing crimson radiance. I began with a panel, 30 & quot; & quot; square and 2 & quot; deep. I used a thin layer of modeling paste to add some appearance to the flat surface area. I then utilized charcoal pencil to sketch the tree. I started with blue and purple paint to block int he light and shadow (I like making use of cool colors under warm colors to include to their vibrancy)

Under the tree, I used copper leaf to show the dried leaves. When the light strikes it just right, they shimmer.

I used a scheme knife to layer numerous cool and warm reds in the foliage, when all the paint was dry I glazed the whole painting with a warm brown to highlight the grooves and push the heat of the reds.

This stunning recreation captures the developed appearance of paint, the layers of color, and a tip of the shimmer of the copper foil under the tree. 13 & quot; & quot; x 19 & quot; paper. Image size is 11 & quot; & quot; square.
