  • “This has such lovely fresh flavours. Simple and fuss free to make also.”

  • “So delicious yet extremely easy to make. All the spices blended so well together and gave off a very pleasant aroma while simming. I served mine over rice, garnished with fresh cilandro. Such a treat after a long hard day.”

  • “Simple and good.I used 28 ounces of stewed tomatoes just to make it stretch a bit more for the 5 of us.The last 45 minutes of cooking I took of the lid to help reduce some of the liquids.”

  • “Dana~This was so easy and quick to make! The wonderful aroma while cooking m-m-m-m! I did add some sweet red peppers and onion. I served it over rice and every drop of it went! (Darn! I was hoping for left-overs!) Thanks for another great recipe!”

  • “I made this dish for our DANATHON weekend. Couldn’t have been easier to fix…especially, in an electric skillet.Flavors melded together nicely…served over buttered noodles.Excellent recipe, Dana.Thank you for sharing.LC”

  • “Wonderful! For such a fast & easy recipe, this sure packs in a lot of flavor.I really enjoyed the burst of garlic and the peppery flavor. The meat came out tender and the sauce was really tasty. We served it over rice.Note: I browned the meat for only 5 minutes before adding the remaining ingredients, but otherwise follwed the directions exactly.”

  • “Delicious – and easy – didn’t change anything. And I’m not a big fan of stewed tomatoes, but they are great in this dish. The meat came out so nice & tender. We loved the flavor – thanks, Dana!!”

  • “We had a wonderful dinner tonight, and this was it! VERY tasty! I followed the recipe except I added some green pepper and onion strips – because we like them in anything Italian flavored. I served it with extra-wide egg noodles, and some Parmesan and shredded Mozzarella for topping. Also bought a loaf of crusty Italian bread. This definitely goes in my cookbook, and I will have to make it again soon because my 12 year-old daughter got invited to a friend’s for dinner at the last minute, and my husband and I both agreed that she would love this. Thanks so much!MEP”

  • “This is a good base, but a bit bland for my taste. If I were to make it again I would add red wine, peppers, onions and maybe a bit more seasoning, so it wouldn’t be the same recipe. But thank you for a great idea and an easy, quick meal.”

  • “Awesome recipe! Dh found this and it was great. We’ve made it a few times now. I add red wine and it really makes a difference. I’ve also added in mushrooms and used whatever canned tomatoes i had on hand. Next time I’ll probably use fresh tomatoes. Wonderful, easy recipe!!”

  • “This was a nice, easy and simple meal to make.I used diced tomatoes and added some teriyaki sauce just before serving over rice.Made a good meal and two of us polished it off at one sitting. Thanks for the post Dana-MMH”

  • “This was pretty easy to throw together for a nice dinner :)I also added peppers and onions, but I throw those into almost everything :)”

  • “I followed suggestions in Potlucksreview as I found it a bit bland as written. Once I made the additions of the wine, peppers and onions, it was better. This is a good base recipe with alot of possibilities. Thanks.”

  • “This was pretty good.I made it for Christmas lunch.Easy recipe with a simple and satisfying taste.I would make again.”

  • “My Husband Loved this dish served on egg noodles. I did add 1 tsp seasoned salt ,1/2 cup red wine,1/2 green pepper cut into strips and a yellow onion cut into rings..I also thicken the sauce with a little cornstarch w/water..I perfered this on a slice of Italian bread # 59242..Will definitely make it again..Thank U for this recipe..”

  • “I love this recipe! It’s become my “old stand-by” when I’m in a pinch and need to make something quickly (which is more often than not these days with a 13 month old pulling at my pant leg!) I throw in some green pepper too if I have it. Thanks for the recipe. :)”

  • “Easy to make, and DH enjoyed it for lunch. Thanks for sharing.”

  • “This recipe was good and very easy.I originally picked it because I was in a hurry and I had all of the ingredients, but now I know I lucked out.I used stew meat and served it over baked white rice, recipe #109716.I added salt, a little flour for thickening and topped with parmesean cheese. Both recipes have about the same cook time.It was superb.”

  • “Good flavor, easy to make, used egg noodles.”

  • “My family really like this dish alot. I added some marsala wine and had to use dried herbs instead of fresh. We served over bow-tie pasta and a sprinkle of paramsan on top.Oh, to save time I bought pre-cut stir-fry meat. It works great.”
