  • “This recipe was very good and moist. It was very easy to make! It’s good for unexpected guests! I served it with chicken breast, corn and cabernet. It went very well with everything.”

  • “WOW, this was really good and really easy. I really felt like baking bread but I didn’t have any yeast…I stumbled across this recipe and remembered I had some non-alcholic beer and decided to use it and it worked…..the bread was light and sweet with a beautiful golden glaze..thanks Inez”

  • “Good stuff!I tried this twice, once with a cheap light beer that was on hand, and once with an expensive imported stout. The bread made with the cheap beer tasted better.”

  • “Very good and extremely easy! This is exactly like the expensive beer bread mixes you can purchase at gourmet food stores, only much cheaper.I want to try it with some herbs added in or maybe some sundried tomatoes.”

  • “I love beer bread, too, and here’s a hint to help with the crunchy crust:Place the loaf in a large Ziploc bag while it’s still hot and let it rest for at least 1/2 hour. The steam will make the crust very tender and easily sliceable, without affecting the taste.”

  • “I thought this was wonderful!!Perfectly moist and dense – w/ lovely flavor! My hubby actually thought it was slightly too bland, so I might play w/ that a little, for him – though I thought it was really perfect! He would have given this 4 stars, but I’m giving it 5!I used Blue Moon beer, and added a bit of honey into the bread – as well as one T of ground flax.I did but it in a ziplock after baking, and that seemed to make the crust just right!Thank you!!Update:I’ve made this a couple more times and used Guinness instead. Now both my hubby and I love it!!!!I will always use Guinness in this, from now on.Wonderful!!”

  • “Very easy, dense, moist loaf of bread. It was quite crusty, so I did the warm bread in a ziplock bag trick and the crust softened nicely. For my taste, I would add more salt. Goes well with soup. Thanks MizzNezz.”

  • “The Cheaper the Beer, the Better the Bread.I tried an expensive brand we like to drink and it turned out horrible.”

  • “Delicious bread and a very rustic appearance. A little crusty on the outside and tender on the inside. Tasted best warm, right out of the oven. I served with Nurse Di’s Louisiana Jambalaya. We were in heaven. Thanks.”

  • “Fast, easy and cheap to make.My husband really liked it.It does give a bit of a rustic loaf in appearance.I put it in a bag after baking to partially eliminate the too crunchy crust–no problem.”

  • “Loved the smell – just like baking real home made bread. Exactly how much was this bread suppose to rise – I didn’t really see much difference after initial mixing – did I overmix?? Outside of bread very nice and crunchy, inside was moist and dense? Did I succeed in getting the beer bread qualities? I have never made beer bread before – prefer to drink it. Will make again for sure.”

  • “this bread was great. so quick and easy to make, and it tasted amazing. At first I tried a little of the batter to see what it tasted like and I thought it was kind of bitter. But it turned out delicious!”

  • “My husband couldn’t get over how “awesome” this bread was. Super easy and we loved the addition of beer. Thanks so much!”

  • “Good stuff!I made it for a party, it was quick, easy, and my guests loved it.”

  • “Smelled amazing and came out a gorgeous color. The taste is unreal and i’m still in schock at how easy it was! Took previous suggestion for avoiding super-hard crust by wrapping loaf in saran wrap. It remained soft and easy to cut through! Thanks MizzNezz!”

  • “I never had beer bread before, so I didn’t know what it was supposed to be like. I followed the recipe exactly, using Grolsch beer. The outside was hard and crusty, which made it a bit difficult to slice. Nice, slightly sweet flavour. My husband and I both enjoyed it.”

  • “I made when I had guests for company. They raved about this bread, and were absolutely delighted when I offered to let them take the rest of the loaf home. The outside was very crusty, and the inside was soft.I will make this again and again. It is very easy to do.”

  • “This bread was very tasty with good texture.I’ll make it again and again. My family loved it with chili.”

  • “Great beer bread!I used some of my husbands homemade brew for this bread and it had a wonderful flavor and texture.I let my bread only rise about 45 minutes, because I was in a hurry, but it came out great. Thanks!”

  • “This was tasty! We really liked it. Thanks so much for sharing it!”
