  • “I subbed 1/2 c canola oil for the 1 c shortening and it worked out perfectly when used in #3357, Impossible Taco Pie.Thank you!”

  • “I’ve been using this recipe since I joined ‘Zaar. I’ve been trying to catch up on my reviewing lately, so here goes: I will say this bake mix is awesome because it is made with ingredients most bakers have in their pantry right this minute. Fresh, easy and effective, that’s what I want in a bake mix.To make scones: 2 cups bake mix, 1/3 cup sugar,1/2-1 cup dried fruit (dates, apricots, raisins, cranberries, etc.) and/or lemon zest/orange zest/lime zest or 1/2 cup finely diced fresh fruit (apple, pear, apricot, peach), add 50 grams melted butter and then enough cream, yogurt, sour cream, or milk to moisten.scoop onto parchment paper and bake about 20 minutes at 180.That is for Jennifer and Naoma! :-)”

  • “I gave this 5 stars. This recipe is great and works just as good as Bisquick. I didn’t have any on hand when making biscuits and I used this and it worked like a charm. I got my copy of this recipe from Thirfty Fun. My copy of the recipe is slightly different. It calls for 8 cups flour, 1/2 cup baking powder, 3 teaspoons salt, 8 teaspoons sugar (opt). The rest of the ingredients is the same. The directions are about the same. The recipe says store in the pantry in a well sealed container and it keeps upto 3 months or longer in the refrigerator. Thanks for posting! Christine (internetnut)”

  • “This was so easy to put together Di, I always have these ingredients at hand. Now I can get down to trying all the recipes here that call for Bisquick. I just made BisQuickie Cinnamon Rolls (#31607) and they were unbelievable.”

  • “This worked out fantastic in Baby Kato’s Recipe #213987. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this keeper with us! :)”

  • “Very good in Belgian Waffle recipe #235405.Thank you!”

  • “My poor hubby wanted to make the Bisquick fluffy pancakes, which he and the kids love. But of course i was out of Bisquick…so i got him this recipe. I figured it would be fine. Nope. The pancakes were awful. Just really bready and thick. I’m sorry but we’ll be keeping the real thing in the house from now on.”

  • “This was very easy to throw together and made the crust I was making very light and tasty! Thanks!”

  • “I’m sorry I followed the recipe exactly.Except I used brown flour (multi grain).I made biscuits and they were disgusting!Maybe its because I did not use white flour, but this definitely did not present itself with the desired results.”

  • “This recipe is great.I used it to make German Apple Pancake. My daughter said the pancake was even better than when I used store bought Bisquick.I made half the recipe because I don’t use much Bisquick and had been throwing boxes away. Thanks Juju Bee!!!!!”

  • “Worked great!Thanks!”

  • “Used this to make the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Biscuits and it worked out great. Thank you!”

  • “Worked perfectly each time. I just scale to what I need, and off I go.”

  • “I loved this as I hate buying any more convenience type products than I have to. I also loved the methodology, using a mixer to cut in the shortening, I’m doing that from now on. I hate “cutting in” anything like that. Thanks so much, I also cut the recipe in half because that was all i needed at the time.”

  • “Used this for 1/2 the Bisquick in a recipe and it turned out fine.”

  • “I don’t like Bisquick so if I buy a box it will go bad sitting on the shelf for a year. But sometimes I do make a recipe calling for baking mix and this recipe is nice to use.Thank you!”

  • “This is a good recipe, but a bit dry. Try bisquick clone # 12648 it is moist and wonderful!”

  • “I honestly have no idea what real Bisquick is like, but I made this recipe to be used in another recipe (that called for Bisquick) and it turned out great! Also, my ‘faux’ Bisquick looked exactly like the picture by Juju Bee!Thanks for the great copycat!”

  • “This was great!I got on here because I was in the middle of a recipe that called for 2 cups of bisquick and realized that I only had about one cup left!I used this for the entire 2 cups and I thought it actually tasted BETTER than the store-bought kind. Thanks for a tastey, money-saving recipe.”

  • “thank you for posting this recipe it was very easy to make.”
