About the Artist:

I have actually been a full-time artist, concentrating on animal portraiture, since my spouse was diagnosed with brain cancer in July 2006. I was blessed to have had the ability to remain at house, repainting the things I like, and take care of my hubby at the same time. We were so blessed as we had another four and a half years together. However on September 26, 2010, my beautiful husband, Gary, lost his battle. My other half was constantly my motivation as well as my most favorable encourager. At first, I painted to foot the bill, however it became my interest really quickly. This is the heritage he left me. He was very happy with me, and though my art profession was forged from tragedy, it is definitely the silver lining that he left me with.

My work has been gathered around the world, from Australia and Japan to right here at house, in Canada. My dogs have gotten me through some very bumpy rides, and I attempt to catch the essence of these incredible buddies in each piece I produce.
