“Quickly turn a simple vegetable into an elegant side dish.Served these along side my easter lamb and they were gone before the crescent rolls!”
“I have had this recipe in my cookbook forever and finally got around to making it. I shouldn’t have waited because…we absolutely loved it!! Easy and sooo tasty! (Two of my most favorite recipe requirements =)Elegant green beans…who’d a thunk it! Thanks so much for posting.Barb “
“I was looking for something different to do with green beans. This was very good; I used frozen green beans and dried rosemary.I will likely make this again. -M”
“Great recipe, and I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. A nice change of taste for a very commonly used vegetable. Thanks, Carole”
“outstanding way to cook fresh green beans. Will be making this again.”
“I followed the recipe exactly as written except I doubled the olives. (By accident.) It was an absolutely superb dish and I don’t think I’ll be tempted to cut back on the olives next time around. Also, I caramelized the onions as I am wont to do. I suspect that is unnecessary for this dish. Thanks, Lorac. Excellent dish.”
“These were the first batch of beans from my garden and I decided that I would cook them until they were crisp-tender.Being from the South, my boys have never eaten green beans this way. They loved them!Thank you Lorac for introducing my southern gentlemen to a new way to eat green beans.Made for Lorac Cook-A-Thon.”
“REALLY YUMMY, I kept snacking on the leftovers all night…they were awesome! I made them for thanksgiving dinner, I will make them every year”
“My DH gives this 5 stars and that’s saying something as he usually has NOTHING to say unless pushed.I followed the directions using 1 tsp of dried rosemary as that’s what I had, added mushrooms and walnuts at the same time as the olives as we like both and it turned out great. So simple but a nice blend of flavors.Served with prime rib, sage wheat dinner rolls and baked potatoe and a red table wine; an elegant dinner that we’ll be doing again. Thanks Lorac for a easy and tasty recipe.”
“I don’t like green beans, but my head chef gave me some, so I figured I better use ’em! This is an excellent recipe for a non bean liking person, as there are so many other flavours in there to vastly improve the beans. I added a big, fat clove of garlic along with the onion, and probably a few more olives (to finish the jar). Imagine if you liked beans, you’d reckon this was a 10 star recipe!”
