  • Reviews

  • “These are very moist and have a great flavor thanks to the butter.Delicious!”

  • “Incredibly easy and a great taste. Sprinkled a few choc chips on top just prior to removing from oven. Yumm!!”

  • “Yep they’re good. Quick, Simple and Yummy.ThankyouPaul”

  • “I used cannibus butter instead of regular butter and I got high as hell. Great recipe.”

  • “Very, very good! Made these last night and they are a hit and even good refrigerated next day. I had to sub ‘egg beaters’ egg whites and a little bit of self-rising flour since I was almost out of all-purpose- so they turned out a little cakey near the bottom- but still FABULOUS! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!Edit to add: I am still using this as my fave brownie recipe over a year later- actually following the directions as written now. EVERYONE LOVES THESE! They are amazing. You’ll never want a brownie made from another recipe after trying these!! 🙂 I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!I did try to make a lighter version of these using a 50/50 butter substitute and splenda subbed for half the sugar and they turned out pretty bad- so I don’t recommend altering for a lighter diet.I’m back again to add to my review. It has been over 5 years and I still make these brownies at least once a month, usually two batches at a time. They are requested for nearly every party I attend and they are still amazing! I use one of the brownie slice pans that makes edges on every piece and this makes them perfect!!”

  • “Very good. Will not go back to box brownie mix.Love it!”

  • “Pretty good. I followed the advise of others to reduced the sugar and increase the cocoa. I baked for a total of 30 minutes and shook at halfway mark as also suggested. I wouldn’t even want to know how HARD these brownies would be if baked for the entire 45 – 50 mins.I suggest not even wasting your time and ingredients on this recipe…Go directly to the recipe for “Whatever Floats Your Boay Brownies”….you won’t be disappointed.”

  • “I added a mix of nuts and they came out chewy and delicious!”

  • “I’ve been using this recipe for two years and it i fabulous! This is the only recipe I use and they are perfect every time. You wil love how chewy the are.”

  • “Definitely best the next day.Only change I would make is less sugar as the other reviews stated, and more cocoa.”

  • “i’ve tried this and the children love it …”

  • “really easy and good. I played around with the ingredients just because I was short on some things and this still turned out good. thank you!”

  • “Both times I’ve made this, the brownies have come out of the oven as bricks. Not just chewy — rocky hard. Any suggestions? Does it need a little baking powder to help it rise?”

  • “Not much to say except that these were perfect.I used a bit more cocoa than the recipe called for and they came out decadent.I also took another reviewer’s tip and shook the pan a couple times in the baking process to ensure the middle was dense.Baked these in a 9” round pie plate since that’s what I had on hand – turned out great.Topped with ice cream and strawberries, my husband took one bite and said “I love you” hahaha.”

  • “These are exceptional brownies. I made them as written and baked them for 50 minutes. The result was an extremely fudgy brownie that everyone loved. I served them in wedges with ice cream on top. Thanks for wonderful recipe.”

  • “These were delicious and so easy.I changed it around a bit after reading other reviews though.I used 6 tbsp. of cocoa, 1/2 a cup of butter, 1 1/4 cup of sugar and I also added half a bag of chocolate chips.I took one person’s suggestion and shook them half way through to make them more dense.”

  • “I changed the recipe quite a bit…I reduced the butter to 1/2 cup, increased the cocoa powder to 1/2 cup, decreased the sugar to 1 1/4 cup, added 1/2 cup peanut butter, and used oat flour instead of wheat flour because I am allergic. they turned out fantastic!”

  • “I took the suggestions and cut the sugar to 1 1/4 cups. I also replaced the butter with apple sauce (for a healthier choice) and I baked them in mini-muffin tins. I only baked for about 20 minutes and then I melted a square of semi-sweet chocolate, 2 tsp of marg and 2 individual pkgs of sweetener to drizzle on top. Wow they were so yummy. My son gobbled down 10 of the little treats so fast, that I didnt get a chance to stop him. I just couldnt figure out why there seemed to be so few on the plate! Great recipe!!”

  • “very good and easy to make, i didnt have coco so i substituted with dark hershey chocolate, added 1 cup of sugar instead, but overall really great!!! also added some nuts, thank you for the receipe!”
