A buddy, Graeme Askew, and I had a good time e-mailing
our own original little Zen poems to one another,
comparing the seasons, as he stayed in Melbourne, Australia
and I on a ranch in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
Graeme once wrote to me:
“The cycles of time
wind around each other
and the leaves topple down
and burst once more
from the old wood.”
The huge tree lantern has a 4 3/4 inch stone resin base and has to do with 7 1/2 inches high.
Standing alone, or as a pair with the small tree lantern the luminescent shoji lanterns will bring quiet charm to any setting.
Great for home decoration, or gifts.
I hand print my initial design on the fiberglass (which resembles ‘rice paper’) cover. Fiberglass, a durable product that is made use of in many shoji screens, is safe to utilize inside your home or outdoors, rain or luster.
The hand printed cover is made from fiberglass with a ‘rice paper’ appearance, 7 1/2 inches high with a
