  • “Good idea.I added some leftover creamed corn and 1 tbsp to the jiffy mix,and put a layer of mexi-blend cheese on top of the chili before spreading the batter on top.Kids and hubby ate it all up.No leftover leftovers, lol.Good flavor, quick and a fridge cleaner.lol”

  • “This is packed with flavor.I added an extra egg and a couple tablespoons of honey to the cornbread mix.My family gobbled it up.Thanks!”

  • “What a great way to rework leftovers.I added a layer of shredded Mexican blend cheese between the chili and the cornbread crust. We served this up with a simple iceberg lettuce, tomato, and red onion salad dolloped with guacamole.Yummy comfort food for a cold night.”

  • “This gets a five for being so easy! I think it’s a great idea to sweeten up the cornbread, particularly if you have a spicy chili. It makes a good contrast. I put down a good layer of shredded cheddar between the cornbread and chili. Thanks for the recipe!”

  • “I added honey and sugar to my cornbread and my DH loved it. Thanks for the recipe.”

  • “Very good! We added a can of roasted diced chilies to our cornbread mix. It was tasty. Good reheated too.”

  • “This was pretty good.I used a sweet chili that I found on here, and made the chili especially for this recipe.I’m not sure I like the Jiffy cornbread mix on top.I think there was as much cornbread as chili.Maybe using 5 c. of chili, or half the cornbread in a smaller dish would have worked better for me.At any rate, it was quick (other than I made the chili today), and if you’re having kids over and need something for them, this dish and a salad would be good.”

  • “Very good, quick and simple meal. Thanks for posting.”

  • “this is great! I add a layer of cheese between the cornbread and chili. It adheres the two a little better.”
