  • “Yummy and delicious!I’d like to add that I chilled the mixture for one hour before beginning to roll into balls. After rolling, I chilled it for 5 hours and then served!”

  • “I had my doubts since these were messy to roll after 2 hours in the fridge and I ate one of these as soon as I had rolled it in the chopped almonds. At that stage it was very rich (too rich) and gooey.I tried another one the next morning after chilling them and it was much better, more like a truffle.I think these taste best straight from the fridge.”

  • “Very flavorful & pretty….make sure you drain the cherries WELL.I didn’t & as a result, they never set. Even though, they were still DELICIOUS! Great recipe!”

  • “I loved these candies. They were very rich though. I used peanuts and pecans for the nuts. I rolled half in coconut and half in nuts. I served these for a dessert on Rosh Hashanah. Very good!! Thanks.”

  • “This is the easy fudge recipie I’ve made for years, only more so!The cherries inside are delerious.I think I liked the chopped almonds better than coconut, but that’s just me and they’re both very good. Here’s another item for holiday gift trays.”

  • “Oo, so good!!Made as directed, but ran out of chopped nuts at the end, so rolled some in coconut, some in powdered sugar and some in cocoa.Really easy, really yummy!Thank you Mirj!! :)”

  • “My grandmother used to make these every year for Christmas and I love them! I hadn’t thought about these in years. Thanks for the memories! Update: I just made them for myself and they are better than I remember. 🙂 My hubby suggested dipping them in chocolate rather than rolling them in nuts to make a truffle-like candy. I bet that would be good too so I’m going to try it sometime. I imagine I’ll have to add more powdered sugar to get them stiff enough to stay on a toothpick when I dip them but I don’t think that will hurt them any. I used a little more than called for this time and they were delicious. It is a good thing I hid some in the freezer because everyone kept eating the ones in the refrigerator and they were gone before the party I needed them for!! LOL! Another great recipe, Mirj! Thanks again!”
