These hoop-shaped earrings bloom into an elaborately undulating surface, influenced by the frilly arms of a jellyfish. They are 3D-printed in nylon and function stainless-steel earwires.
Our Florescence collection is inspired by the biomechanics of growing leaves and blooming flowers. Each piece emerges from a computational simulation of differential development, a surface that grows at various rates in various place. The flowering structures expand fastest along their edges, progressing from simple surface areas to flexuous forms that fill space with curves, folds, and ruffles.
