  • “This is excellent.Only thing I would maybe try is instead of bread on the bottom.I would try hashbrowns or slice potatoes. That way it could pull some of the salt out.Don’t add any extra salt to this. But it was great and easy too!!Thanks”

  • “Mark, and excellent dish.I had very good results with this.I made the dish like you said, and it was sooo good.Easy to put together. When I make this again (and I will) I am going to try puting buttered dry breadcrumbs on the bottom to see if it comes out with a ‘sauted’ taste.I will let you know how that alteration comes out. Thanks for posting this one!”

  • “This was easy and very delicious. Thanks Connie for the potato tip.The sauce was great on the potatoes.Next time I make it I am going to try shredded hashbrowns because my sliced potatoes did not get throughly cooked. My cream cheese was soft and I could not cut it so I mixed it with the soup.It turned out great. Thanks for sharing this recipe. It is a keeper!!!”

  • “This was great.Easy to prepare and a nice presentation.I also did not use the bread.I love rice so I used 2 cups of cooked rice as the first layer.I was afraid it might be a little dry so I covered the casserole for the first 30 minutes. It came out great!”

  • “Very tasty. I used white bread, private selection virginia baked ham from the deli (which I chopped up fine like you would for a ham omlete), and only about 3/4 of the 8oz pkg of cream cheese. I used block Kroger brand cream cheese and it was not that easy to slice thin.Next time I think I would use thin sliced french bread, packaged canadian bacon, and blend soup with cream cheese. Oh I also used brocoli SPEARS. I would use chopped brocoli instead. Only cause the spears took a little time to arrange. Beautiful dish that tastes wonderful.”

  • “I used pre-made Italian bread crumbs the second time, but this was delicious!”

  • “Very good.I like Cordon Bleu, but usually don’t prepare it because of the time involved. It was very easy and just as good as the traditional variety. It’s definately a keeper!”

  • “This is a great dish,I used the fresh shredded potatoes on the bottom of mine and I loved it!Makes plenty so be prepared for leftovers if there are only 2…Reheats good though.Very simply and the swiss cheese and ham makes the dish@@”

  • “Delicious and SO easy !!!! 🙂 Peggylou7”

  • “Great, easy recipe.I used frozen hashbrowns instead of bread, and my husband loved it.”

  • “I did this recipe using the hash browned potatoes the first time I tried it (the bread on the bottom didn’t even sound appetizing). It got rave reviews, and my boyfriend tells me that it’s a “keeper” for when we have a home of our own.It took me a lot longer for prep than I planned because the recipe directions were kind of vague, but it wasn’t difficult at all.”

  • “Made this recipe last night. My family loved it. I used shredded hashbrowns on the bottom and it worked out great.Very easy to put together. Had a salad and hot french bread to go with it. Will be making this again real soon.”

  • “Liked this a lot!Used the frozen hash browns instead of bread, as suggested by other viewers.Cut recipe in half, used canned chicken and baked in 8×8 dish. Will definitely make again.”

  • “This recipe is great!! I did make a few adjustments based on reviews and my own tastes/likes here they are: I used 2 cups cooked rice as the base instead of bread, I mixed the cream cheese in with the soup and I used a mozzarella, Parmesan cheese mixture instead of the Swiss cheese. I then layered the casserole as follows: rice, chicken, ham, broccoli, soup mixture, and cheese. A little different than written, but same basic idea 🙂 Great recipe…thanks for sharing!!”

  • “The bread was weird…and it didn’t really taste much like chicken cordon bleu.we just didn’t really like it.”

  • “I have to give this 5 stars because it is the first casserole that my DH said was very good.He does not like them as he was raised on them as a child. But he gets them when I feel like it and he loved this one. There is nothing fancy about it but the flavors just meld well together.I cut it in half for my small family and used lower fat products. And it still tasted wonderful.Thank you yooper for a tasty one.I can now make a casserole and get a big thumbs up and a happy face.”

  • “I loved this and the leftovers were easy to freeze in packets. An all in one dish that I served with a side salad.I french bread slices on the bottom and broccoli flowerets instead of stems. I also did dilute the soup with a little water and a little white wine. Very small amount though.Thank you for this simple and tasty recipe.”

  • “I used flavored bread crumbs layered on the chicken instead of bread slices – they had a strong flavor that ruined the dish.I didn’t want to leave any stars since it was my fault it turned out so poorly.Breadcrumbs are a bad idea :-)”

  • “This was a nice and easy casserole. I put frozen diced peppers and potatoes in the bottom of the dish and used low sodium cream of chicken soup.Everyone enjoyed it and it was not too salty. It did not really taste like Cordon Bleubut for the ease of the recipe that is a minor detail. I think the key is to use a really nice block of Swiss cheese. I used leftover spiral sliced ham. I would make this again. Yum! Thank yooper!”

  • “This was such a nice casserole.I left out the broccoli, but otherwise left the recipe the same.I forgot to cook my chicken first, so I just left it in the oven another 20 minutes or so, and checked it and it was all cooked through.Great recipe, I’m sure I’ll make it again!”
