  • “Tastes great — quick and very easy to make.My husband thought it was heavenly. ;)I used it on a large sheet cake (12 x 17) and it was plenty – not enough to store any, but still enough left to lick the spoon a few times. ;)”

  • “Wonderful and creamy!A very nice frosting recipe which I combined with Cindy Lynn’s recipe for Chocolate Cake (recipe #25080) and it proved to be a great choice! I used the entire amount to frost one 13×9″ cake. I followed Nezz’s directions to the letter and had great results! Thanks again, MizzNezz, for another great recipe!”

  • “I used this recipe because the reviews were so good.My family all thought that it was much to sweet. It didn’t do anything for my cake.I don’t think that I would use this frosting again.Sorry”

  • “DELICIOUS! This is the best chocolate frosting I have ever made, hands down, and I have made a lot!I did add one extra square of baking chocolate, and about 1/4 cup of cocoa powder because I was a little low on powdered sugar, and it was excellent! Thanks for posting this recipe!”

  • “Taste is great! I added a little butter as I was under the measure for cream cheese. I was under for frsoting the sides on my layer cake, but I may have used too much in the middle andon top.”

  • “Yum, Yum, YUM! At first it was a bit thick and I could tell right away 2 ounces of chocolate wasn’t enough chocolate flavor for my liking…BUT thats the beauty of this recipe, you can adjust it to your liking…Its easier to just add more of an ingredient then it is to take away ingredients once the recipe has been made…right?…The only changes I did was, of course, added somemore Chocolate(about3 more ounces) and subbed a 1/2 cup of cocoa powder for 1/2 cup of Powdered sugar….and added an extra teaspoon of milk at the end to soften up the frosting….The flavor is divine and the texture is the perfectly creamy…”

  • “Oh yum.I had some operator error and so had to add some extra milk, but I added too much so then extra powdered sugar! But in the end this was a really wonderful icing that worked well on the denseness of Recipe#179005”

  • “Great recipe! I don’t know if it was 5 cups or not, but I just used a whole box (1lb) of powdered sugar, half a stick of butter, and a whole box of cream cheese (8oz).1 ounce of chocolate wasn’t enough for my liking so I added more. The nice thing is though that you can start out small and keep adding more chocolate until its just how you like it!”

  • “My family loved this frosting. This was the best frosting we have ever had. I thought it was a little to thick so I thinned it down a little but the flavor is to die for. I will keep this recipe and use it again. I will even use it as a white frosting cuz it still has great flavor even without the chocolate. Fantastik!!!”

  • “I loved the topping! My family enjoyed it so much it was just perfect not too sweet and so creamy and heavenly.”

  • “I did the same as Bev ,from above, except I added all 8oz of cream cheese in the topping. Seemed to be no difference. I submitted a piture. This is my 1st Chocolate Cake. Love that creamy topping. Thanks for posting. “
