  • “I used pork chops rather than ribs and the flavor was excellent, but not very sticky. I also used a touch of ketjap manis since I had some in the house.”

  • “I think that you left something out of this recipe the ribs I cooked were far from sticky and yummy. I actually threw mine away they were sitting in the crockpot for 10 hours and sorry to say we had takeout that night.”

  • “I loved the taste of the ribs.I do have to agree with some of the other comments that the ribs were not sticky.Having said that, though, some of the comments were rather harsh, in my opinion. Those that want stickier ribs can add about 1/2 more cup marmalade and the ribs will be stickier. And to prevent “boiled” ribs, the brown the ribs in a pan first and drain or simply trim off the excess fat.My ribs came out beautifully, and my whole family loved it.You just have to use a little common sense! Thanks for a great recipe, Mirj!!”

  • “Agree that some comments are quite harsh. I cooked this with a change of 1/2 a jar of sweet orange marmalade, a little more garlic and thickened the sause with a lille cornstarch and it was lovely. All 4 of us thought the taste was beautiful, still not sticky but the taste was excellent. One of the better recipes I have tried so far. Thanks Mirj”

  • “With all respects, this was horrid.Although I wasn’t expecting “smokehouse-style barbeque”, I also wasn’t expecting boiled, tasteless pork. Not sticky, not yummy. However, I have learned to read reviews before trying a recipe….”
