  • “Damn fine indeed! My Coke lately has been Coke Zero and it turns out very well using that.A generous squeeze of lime in the glass and rubbed around the rim for good measure! I adore this drink!”

  • “This is my happy hour drink of choice.I only use Captain Morgan’s spiced rum, though.Dropping in those lime shells is a must!”

  • “I used lime cola. I`m not a fan of rum and coke. But this one is good with the juice of a lime and the lime coke. Refreshing. This is what my DH favors where I adore my Mojitos! Those Cubans know how to make good drinks! Cheers!”

  • “Delightful! One of my favorites since the 50’s. I not only remember the Andrews Sisters, I also remember the originial version of “Drinking Rum and Coca Cola” that was going around the clubs in both Havana and Havana del Norte (Miami). “

  • “My drink of choice on a recent holiday to Bali. I was planning to post it, but found Gay’s recipe first. I love the suggestion to drop in the shells and pound them (something they didn’t do in Bali). I have had this with white and dark rum, and it’s just as good either way ;-)”

  • “It’s a great drink alright, I have been indulging in this fine drink for most of my life and I am 77.You should have heard the Andrews Sisters’ rendition of “Drinking Rum and Cola” during WarII.Warren”
