  • “This was so good!! very easy to put together too .. I used nonfat milk instead of evaporated, and it was great!! definitely a keeper”

  • “I made this tonight for the first time and used Gluten-free yellow cake mix. I took it to a party and no one knew the difference. It was a hit with kids and adults alike! Friends even asked for the recipe. I actually used more butter to coat the dry cake mix, and I sprinkled sugar and cinnamon on the top. Instead of walnuts, I used cashews. I liked the salty against the sweet of the dessert. And to keep the cashews from burning, I covered the pan with foil until the last 10 minutes or so. A definite keeper! Thanks.”

  • “This recipe was so easy to make, and all of my guests enjoyed it.I used regular milk, and also used 2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp each of nutmeg and allspice since I didn’t have pumpkin pie spice.Served it with cool whip -yum!”

  • “This was so easy and wonderful.Everyone loved it.If you like pumpkin pie you will love this.”

  • “I made this dessert when my mother in law came over, she loved it! I had a copy of the recipe for her and she took it home. My Husband also loved this dessert, it was very delicious and so easy to put together.”

  • “Well, this was very popular with our dinner guests.I served a few different desserts but this appeared to be the favourite.I served it with freshly whipped cream. Although there are similar recipes on Zaar, some use twice the amount of butter, so this is lower in fat and it is awesome just as it is. Thx for sharing Michelle.”

  • “When can one make a dessert that everyone loves? When it’s this one you’re making!I was skeptical, but this was a huge hit.”

  • “Easy and a wonderfully good fall dessert! Will make again & had lots of compliments on it!”

  • “Yummo! My whole family likes this and my in-laws and parents were both very impressed. For an extra special touch, I sued butter pecan cake mix.It was heavenly.”

  • “This is pretty much my favorite dessert ever, and I LOVE desserts. 🙂 It’s also probably one of the least healthy desserts ever, but somehow I cannot bring myself to care until after I’ve eaten it. 🙂 It’s so wonderfully easy to throw together, and the end result is fabulously rich and flavorful! I’ve tried it with walnuts and pecans and a mixture of the two–for some reason I prefer pecans. Thanks for sharing this delicious favorite!”

  • “Easy to prepare, and tastes great.Prepared with Fat Free Evaporated milk.”

  • “My chocolate lovin’ son said “Incredible! And it isn’t even chocolate”.He ate it warm w/Cool Whip.I didn’t have pumpkin pie spice, so added my own, & used 1/2 Smart Balance and 1/2 butter for the drizzle. Also i didn’t chop the Walnuts, and added about 1 c.”
