  • “Verry Yummy! My 9 y/o had 7 pieces!”

  • “Absolutely delicious! I used almond milk and added a splash of vanilla creamer as well as a dash of nutmeg and cloves. They came out great, I let the bread sit in the mixture and absorb it fully because it was really moist when I cooked them in the skillet. Will definitely make again when I have a French toast craving.”

  • “very good one!”

  • “Healthy and delicious breakfast! Due to what I had on hand I used whole grain wheat bread and fat free half and half instead of milk. From other’s suggestions I added a teaspoon of brown sugar to the milk mixture. After done, I sprinkle toast with powdered sugar and serve with sugar free syrup. So tasty!”

  • “Great recipe. Easy to follow. I also added orange zest peels to add some unique flavor, and they worked perfectly. Also added powdered sugar. Will save this recipe.”

  • “Yum.I halved the recipe (which worked out beautifully to make 4 slices of french toast) used whole wheat bread and skim milk, but then I fried it in butter.Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, out of this world all over!”

  • “Great flavor and healthy!I was craving for some french toasts and I found this receipe.I used whole wheat burger buns and added 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. They were thick, somewhat sweet, soft and airy, just as I like and wanted them!Thank you!!”

  • “Combined it with “Apple Sizzle”Recipe #40873.I like a strongly flavoured french toast, so i’ll probably use this recipe as a base.Thanx!”

  • “This was the best cholesteral free french toast i’ve ever had. Thanks for posting!!!!”

  • “I used whole grain bread and added a 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder and 1/2 egg yolk.It was perfect, nice and eggy and not too sweet!I’ll have to try adding brown sugar next time. :)”

  • “This is a good low-fat way of making french toast. If you want that rich, full of fat flavor, turn away now, this recipe obviously isn’t it. With that said, it is a reasonable substitute. I used fat-free milk, and added 1/4 t. brown sugar as suggested by another reviewer. I used 100% whole wheat bread. So all of those things may have factored into an even “healthier-tasting” and not as flavorful french toast. Since I rarely ever eat french toast anyways, perhaps next time I’ll treat myself to something with more calories, but more flavor.”

  • “Thanks for the recipe. Proportions suggested are just right! These toasts are healthy and tasty!I made this with 1 egg and 1 egg substitute (egg beater). I added a pinch of salt too. I made it on heated skillet and turned once only.”

  • “Good and Healthy!”
