LEO

July 23–August 22

The sun and Mercury are in Leo, clicking and clashing with various other planets this week and possibly affecting your interactions. Communication with a close friend, your significant other, coworkers and family may be tricky, but try not to get hung up on it if that’s the case. Your thinking is very subjective when Mercury is in your sign, so aim to keep an open mind. If a depressed mood threatens your positive birthday-season mindset and energy, resist the temptation to ignore what’s going on deep inside you. Honor your emotions; just don’t get stuck in them. Give yourself a pep talk if you need to. Breaking out of your routine will feel great, so get out of town, seek out new people or do something you’ve never done. The full moon reminds you that relationships require work—and without it, they can all too easily become unbalanced or stagnant.

VIRGO

August 23–September 22

Mercury is complicating communication for you by hiding out in your subconscious sector and squabbling with three other planets this week. Freudian slips and did-I-really-just-say-that moments are a stronger possibility with Merc in this house. A feeling of mutual understanding, particularly in a romantic situation, could elude you, and your imagination may be at odds with your more rational mindset. But boldness could work in your favor, with Mars in your thinking-and-talking zone jibing with Neptune in your relationship angle. And Mercury is getting along just fine with Uranus in your sharing house, so psychological insights and giving someone space will foster trust. An out-of-left-field sexual encounter is also not out of the question. But with the full moon spanning your service and seclusion houses, you’re encouraged to seek a healthy balance between fulfilling worldly obligations and tending to your spirit. If you feel burnt out, let your intuition guide you to what needs to change.

LIBRA

September 23–October 22

With the sun and Mercury in your network house getting into disagreements with several other planets this week, your job, other responsibilities, family, home life and low funds or confidence could hamper your social life. Be adaptable and juggle as best you can, so you can still go out and see people here and there. Uranus’s alliance with the sun and Mercury implies that spontaneity is the key. It’s also possible that you’ll meet someone new through the circle of people in your life. A Mars-Neptune meeting suggests you can do something about your finances and be of service at the same time—a win-win. The full moon could spell a romantic climax or the culmination of a creative project. In addition, it’s meant to coax you to balance personal fulfillment and group considerations. You may naturally think of yourself in terms of your relationships, but there is a story inside you that only you can tell.

SCORPIO

October 23–November 21

Thinking about goals, expressing what you want to accomplish and communicating with an authority figure could be tricky this week, with the sun and Mercury in your ambition angle clashing with several other planets. Your career may not be unfolding according to your timetable, and you may not have as much control over it as you’d like. But tweaking your modus operandi, updating your skills, changing your daily routine and improving your work ethic will help you to shine. Mars is collaborating with Neptune, so pursuing love, creativity, fun and happiness should pay dividends. Direct your efforts toward a particular yearning, and the universe is likely to meet you halfway. The full moon at the bottom of your chart could spell family drama or bring strong emotions to the surface, reminding you that both your private and public sides merit attention. Avoid acting out tension with another person, and look for ways to better balance your life.

SAGITTARIUS

November 22–December 21

Traveling and expressing your beliefs and opinions could be challenging this week, when the sun and Mercury in your exploration-and-philosophy house tangle with various other planets. Your values, finances, family and mood could contribute to the problem, perhaps keeping you from being as free as you want to be. But the sun and Mercury are in sync with Uranus in your fulfillment zone, so creativity, love, play and other forms of self-expression will offer the release you need and put you in a more upbeat frame of mind, looking to the future with enthusiasm. A Mars-Neptune encounter nudges you to keep toiling behind the scenes in some capacity—probably working from home or on your home—or to face the past in order to wipe the slate clean. The full moon may bring difficult emotions or memories to mind or highlight an idea or way of thinking that needs to shift.

CAPRICORN

December 22–January 19

Trust, jealousy and communication could pose problems this week when Mercury in your sharing sector struggles with Neptune, Pluto and Saturn. Idealistic thinking, wording that veils your true thoughts, a compulsion to be in control or viewing people as part of a plan could exacerbate tension, so do what you can to avoid making matters worse. Try to improve matters by releasing festering emotions, seeking insight into yourself—warts and all—and breaking out of an old pattern. Despite this week’s potential difficulties, teamwork, socializing and networking are advisable, as Mars in your group zone is collaborating with Neptune in your mindset house. So you’ll be able to achieve a feeling of flow by actively participating in a group. The full moon in your worth sector calls you to balance “mine” and “ours”—not putting too much emphasis on what you have, what you’re getting, what you’ve giving or what is shared. Trust that it all balances out.

AQUARIUS

January 20–February 18

With the sun and Mercury in your others angle, one-on-one interactions and relationships are getting your attention. When those two fight with other planets this week, you could project difficulty onto someone else and act out tension in personal encounters. Although communication may be a challenge at times, when you pull back from a situation and look at it from a radically different angle, your rapport with others is bound to improve. Recognize a habitual thought pattern, and refuse to get trapped in it. Be open to changing how you think and how you talk to people. The full moon in Aquarius brings an emotional tidal wave that further encourages you to make a personal shift. If you feel boxed in by the pressures from various areas of life, time alone—including some form of mental escape—should do you good. Or if you prefer to share your feelings with another person, tell someone close to you what you need.

PISCES

February 19–March 20

This week, your work, responsibilities and the general daily grind may make it harder for you to dream big, buy into your plan for the future and attempt to shift the big picture. But don’t throw in the towel. The sun-Mercury meetup in your details house facilitates vigorous analytical thinking; going over the logistics in your mind can reinvigorate your sense of purpose. The sun and Merc are also harmonizing with Uranus in your worth zone, implying that this practical approach connects to changing your self-image and your financial situation. Doer Mars in your exploration sector is clicking with Neptune in your sign, so your spirit is fed by travel, learning, new people and unfamiliar experiences. Do something different! You need to push the envelope to awaken your untapped potential. The full moon serves as a reminder that no matter how many demands your outer life places on you, your inner life deserves your time and attention as well.

ARIES

March 21–April 19

Your ruler Mars is in sync with Neptune this week, suggesting that releasing fear, letting go of the past and following your instincts will allow you to share closeness and trust with someone or forge a working partnership. The sun and Mercury in your fulfillment house are clicking with Uranus in Aries, so expressing yourself creatively, romantically or playfully will have a liberating effect. Seize opportunities for spontaneous fun. You’re naturally impatient, and simply enjoying life now will reinforce the sense that you’re doing something. You need to feel alive and on the move. Lighthearted affection and serious commitment may seem to be at odds, or your drive to be yourself and do what pleases you could conflict with the needs of friends or an agreement with a particular person. The full moon encourages you to compromise a bit so no one gets the short end of the stick.

TAURUS

April 20–May 20

When you make a point of doing things with other people this week, you can attain that feeling of connection that you’re after. Be direct in seeking out the companionship of people with common interests. Sharing your private feelings with someone may be tougher, as Mercury and the sun in your emotions angle are quarreling with roadblock Saturn in your relationship angle, possibly giving you the impression that someone is being cold or disapproving. However, both those planets are meshing with Uranus in the last house of your chart, implying that breaking free from the past is essential to strengthening your inner foundation. Time alone at home could also engender intuitive insights. The full moon at the top of your chart might spell parental drama, the culmination of a goal or a strong need to achieve. If you’re surrounded by tension, take a big step back and a deep cleansing breath.

GEMINI

May 21–June 20

Thanks to your ruling planet Mercury’s struggles with Neptune, Pluto and Saturn this week, you may not have the easiest time getting on the same wavelength as your boss, parent, significant other or coworker. Be willing to change your mind or tweak your message if you want to make something work. Let your eagerness to learn take over and turn you into a better listener. Flexibility is your strong suit, so you should be able to resolve a problem if you run into one. Merc is clicking with Uranus in your group zone, hinting at smoother relations with friends and spontaneous socializing. You’ll feel like yourself connecting with a circle of people and appreciating everyone’s quirks. The full moon in your beliefs sector could mean a difference of opinion, but more importantly, it alludes to your need for a life free of restraints and rich with meaning.

CANCER

June 21–July 22

This week, you may find that your mind and energy are circling around money, possessions, confidence, talents and values—what you need, what you have and what you’ve got going for you. Your self-worth might hinder your power in a relationship, and your finances may not allow you the freedom, travel, fun and leisure that you want. But you do need to go for it now when it comes to love, creativity and pleasure, because Mars is gelling with Neptune, indicating that enjoying life will not only help you release stress, but will also lift your spirits. Both the sun and Merc are cooperating with Uranus in your ambition angle, so a career shift or changing a goal will go hand in hand with stronger self-esteem and financial smarts. The full moon in your sharing sector could spell relationship drama, but it also nudges you to consider someone else’s feelings and needs.
