Ginger Tea
About This Recipe
“This is “Aunt Sally’s” own receipt. Half of my family got food poisoning at Thanksgiving one year. This ended my nausea. Don’t give into the temptation to add more honey or sugar, because then it doesn’t work–especially if you are vomiting because sugar can make that worse. This was made with dried powdered ginger that wasn’t very strong, if using fresher ginger you may use more water. Remember to sip slowly.”

“Ginger is used in treating upset stomache.. although I believe fresh ginger is best! A few slices boiled in a small pot of waterif u must, add a lil sugar ^_^”
“Most health practioners of alternative health feel that boiling honey is unhealthful. The recipe will taste the same or better if you just add it at the end.”
“I am NOT rating this on taste, only in it’s effectiveness at alleviating nausea. To be honest, the taste is pretty bad, but since I am pregnant and suffering from nausea everyday, the taste is the least of my worries, as long as it works. And it does seem to work so far. Even if I have to wince everytime I sip it. “

“I really couldn`t drink this. It was way to strong. I think if you make it with 1 teaspoon not tablespoon of ginger then it would be fine.Or my ginger is very fresh!”
