Glazed Meatloaf

    “This meatloaf is unusual but very tasty! Makes great open faced sandwiches the next day.”

    Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbsground beef
  • 3/4 cupoatmeal
  • 1/8 teaspoonpepper
  • 1teaspoonsalt
  • 1mediumonion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cupmilk
  • 1egg
  • 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoondry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cupvinegar
  • Directions

  • Combine beef, oatmeal, seasonings, onion, 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce, milk& egg; mix well.
  • Place mixture in loaf pan.
  • Pierce top with a fork.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in sauce pan; blend well.
  • Heat sauce to boiling.
  • Pour 3/4 of sauce over the loaf.
  • Bake 350 for 45 minutes.
  • Spoon remaining sauce over loaf before slicing.

I think I would rather coat the bottom of the bundt pan in the sauce rather than try to poke holes and infuse the flavor into the loaf. I would also like to increase the sauce amount. Since I used 2 lbs. of meat, I increased the other ingredients. I forgot to tell the hubby to increase the sauce when he made it. This is very yummy with buttered mashed potatoes and veggies!”
