These ornamental handcrafted beads are made from non-tarnish Parawire with a surface area design of spirals. They are handcrafted by the Soul of Somanya artisans, and were influenced by near-necessity: since the Krobo area of Ghana has hardly any to provide in the way of metal beads, and our artisans were feeling held back by that reality, we started creating and making our own!

You will receive 6 beads like the ones envisioned here. They determine around 5x8mm. The holes are big, measuring between 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm. Since these beads are crafted by hand, so there will be small variations.

All earnings from sales go to support Soul of Somanya, a non-profit organization that provides training and sustainable work at a living wage to disadvantaged youth in the Krobo area of Ghana, West Africa. The Soul of Somanya artisans make their own metal beads for usage in their own items and for sale to precious jewelry makers throughout the world. This helps us to keep them working at a consistent living wage. We adhere strictly to reasonable trade principles.
