  • “I was going to post my shrimp cocktail recipe but this one is very similar and delicious!!Instead of catsup I use all chilli sauce and a whole teaspoon of horseraddish with a little more tobasco, we like the sauce quite hot spicy. Also trimmed the glasses with spinach leaves instead of lettuce and garnished with lemon and a sprinkle of chopped green onion and parsley. Excellant shrimp cocktail!Dec 25/08 – made these for a starter for Christmas dinner, mmmm delicious! Everyone loved them!”

  • “I agree with Derf. Excellent cocktail sauce. I cut back on the catsup, added more chilli sauce and a bunch more horseraddish with a little more tobasco. We like our sauce with just a little bit of bite.It was very nice to have a homemade sauce for my shrimp that I could modify and kick up the heat a bit. (I never know when buying a bottle of cocktail sauce at the store, whether it will be really sweet, or spicy, or what; not to mention the many other additional ingredients that come in a jarred sauce).I will use this sauce whenever I need a cocktail sauce.”
