Lemonade
About This Recipe
“I make this all summer long. I don’t know if the kids like it as much as I do but it doesn’t last long. I like a bit more lemon juice also, but then again I like Tart.”

“This was so simple to make. A hint to get the most juice from your lemons, roll them on the counter top for a while and then squeeze. I also cut up two limes and added them to the pitcher of lemonade. Fantastic drink. Very refreshing.”
“Perfect! It took 4 regular size lemons to make about a cup and a half juice. Just the right amount of tart and sweet. Thank you!”
“Hit the spot!Very refreshing accompaniment to our Southern Buttermilk Bonanza meal. Thanks for posting this recipe.”
“We use less water (5 ½ cups) and less sugar (3/4 cup) for a tarter lemonade.Delicious!:)”
“Very nice and refreshing .”
“This is a good basic recipe for one of my favorite drinks! I served it over ice and delicious! Good recipe.”
“Delicious. My 4 lemons only netted me 1/2 cup lemon juice, so I adjusted the water & sugar accordingly. (The lemons were organic & tend to be on the smaller side.) Also, I made a simple syrup by boiling the sugar with a couple of cups of filtered water and letting it cool on the stove – that stops the sugar from separating. Thanks for posting!”
“Love this lemonade! I also slice open a lemon and hand pick the juicy pulp and add it to the pitcher. It adds a little “texture” and random “sour bites” that are oh so yummy!”
“Very Good! I just tried this recipe with Lemon Juice (bottled) since I didn’t have any lemons and was craving lemonade 🙂 Tasted as is great. I also added around 1/4 Cup extra of Sugar and I also Steeped Raspberry Tea in an 8oz Glass of boiling water and added to the mix (used 8 reg sized Tea Bags), Both taste wonderful thank you for the recipe and the inspiration to work with what I had on hand.Update:Made the recipe as is and tastes so fresh and wonderful. The children love it.”
“This really hit the spot when I got a late night craving for lemonade (and no, I’m not expecting!)It was quick, easy, & very tasty.took about 4 large lemons to get the 1 1/2 cups of juice required. Thanks, DiB!”
“The perfect drink for a hot summer’s day.I had just zested a bunch of lemons and wanted to use the juice, this recipe really came in handy. We like our lemonade sweet so I added another 1/4 cup of sugar. To help it dissolve easier I used room temperature water and then stored the lemonade in the fridge for a few hours before we drank it.I also added a few sprigs of mint to the second batch, very refreshing!”
“This was excellent. So refreshing, wonderful flavor. Perfect for summer. Felt like I should be sitting on a front porch in a rocking chair, with a fan, sipping away!”
“Better than Chick-fila’s!!!”

“very good!”
“We don’t have lemonade often in our house, so I squeezed only 1 cup of lemon juice instead of 1 1/2. I think it turned out great, but I may try 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice next time to see which we like best. Thank you for such an easy and delicious recipe :]”
