“I loved this salad. The mixture of the sweet fruit and the savoury onion and peppers. So good.I served this with some Pad Thai and Thai zucchini. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe with us.”
“I prepared this salad to accompany Sriracha Chicken Wings (see my page) and they paired wonderfully! My only alteration was julienning the mango and veggies (I like to eat small bites). Fan-tiggity-tastic!”
“I used the smaller (sweeter) apple mangoes and it worked wonderfully! What an easy and delicious recipe. The guys and gals at the hall loved it.”
“Excellent combination.I used tomatoes instead of red pepper due to personal preference and it worked out well.I also added a bit of sugar as my mangos weren’t perfectly ripe.Thanks.”
“great thanks”
“I followed another reviewer’s suggestion to add some serrano chiles but wished that I hadn’t. The salad reminded me too much of mango salsa. I picked it off my serving so I could enjoy the salad and will make it as written next time.”
“This is a lovely salad.I made it as you directed, except I added a jalapeño, finely diced instead of the green bell pepper. The cilantro adds a nice piquant flavor to the ripe mangos.Actually, I served this as a side for spicy enchiladas. The cool flavors of this salad are perfect for for spicy dishes. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.Definately a keeper.I love the photograph someone posted above! “
“Great and easy salad. We used it as a side dish with Thai Tenderloins and Rice/Curry vegetables. As part of a Thai theme dinner we found that having this fruit side dish can help take some of the bite away from dishes that guests find too spicey or hot. It’s very tasty and adds bright colour to your presentation.”
“Really great fruit salad.I made it to go on the side of a noodle dish with penut sauce, and it complemented very well.Make sure you pick out ripe mangos – they shoudl be quite soft to the touch. “
“Your way (and mine!) of getting the most meat from a mango works well! This is a great salad: I’ve made it twice already. Since I don’t like the flavor of cilantro, I substituted fresh curly parsley leaves from my herb garden and that worked just fine.”
