  • “I used BBQ sauce instead of the tomato sauce and also added a small can of corn. This recipe was great. My family loved it, even my thirteen month old boy! This was good. I served it with roasted red potatoes.”

  • “My family all agreed that this was their all-time favorite meatloaf. It reminds me very much of my grandmother’s meatloaf–and that’s a very good thing!I used 2 lbs of ground beef, 3/4 sleeve of saltines, 1 medium onion, 1/2 a bell pepper, and 2 eggs.I kept the tomato sauce and worcestershire sauce in the original amounts. It sliced very well without falling apart, and it had a great texture and flavor. I can’t wait to have the leftovers in a sandwich today!”

  • “i was so glad to find this recipe, because it is similar to my mother’s which i did not have.i did, however, use ketchup instead of tomato sauce.how much you say?well, my mom always mixes all of the ingredients together, then slowly adds the ketchup until all of the ingredients stick together and can be formed into a loaf.so that’s what i did.why folks choose breadcrumbs over saltines for meatloaf – i’ll never understand!!this recipe is simple and tastes great (don’t underestimate the power of worcestershire sauce)!”

  • “This was a yummy meatloaf!Quick and easy.I was looking for something to make today that was home cooked yet fast. This was it!Thank you Caryn!”

  • “This is pretty good! I saut?ed my green pepper and onion. Knew my husband was not gonna do raw onion. I only used 4 oz in the mixture then added the rest to the top the last 13 minutes. Next time, I will add earlier. Added ketchup after slicing. Very moist meatloaf!”

  • “I made this for the family last week, and they loved it! My father-in-law requested I make this meatloaf again and soon!”

  • “Easy, moist and comforting..thanks.”

  • “Really delicious!”

  • “This meatloaf had fantastic flavor. It was very moist and my family loved it.I served this with scalloped potatoes and corn with biscuits.Perfect meal, thank you for sharing this with us.”

  • “This is now my go-to meatloaf recipe. The only change I make is leaving out the green peppers.”

  • “I’ve got to admit that I have a soft spot for meatloaf, especially when done right. This is a nice variation.I’m going to try it this weekend.”

  • “I followed the recipe as stated plus added a 1/2 cup of real parmesan cheese. My husband didn’t like it that much.He thought it was lacking taste and he doesn’t like onions and green pepper in his meatloaf. Well, I learned something new about my husband’s taste in meatloaf. I thought that it was good although I also did not like the green pepper as it were still crunchy and it was finely chopped too.I would have added more saltines though and not frost the top with ketchup before putting it into the oven but have it available at the table as I like ketchup with my meatloaf.I thought that the ketchup didn’t look appeal to the eyes as I took it out of the oven. So I will definitely skip the ketchup.I think it would have been a winner if I would have left our the green peppers. Thanks for sharing your recipe.”

  • “This recipe is just delicious! My husband and 3 children loved it too. Thanks for posting!!!”

  • “It is unanimous, we all love this meatloaf. The vegys really added to the flavors.Very easy recipe.I used whole grain bread crumbs instead of crackers.I will be making this again.”

  • “Great meatloaf recipe!! I made it for a “get together” dinner.Everyone loved it; it was a big hit!Instead of saltines, I used bread crumbs, and I added fine-chopped celery and carrots.I also substituted barbecue sauce for Worcestershire sauce.Definitely a 5 stars!!!”

  • “Tried this with panko bread crumbs.Great!”

  • “Classic and therefore perfect. (Even better with panko breadcrumbs.)”

  • “Since I made some changes, I’ve really debated on whether or not I should write a review for this.First, reduced this to 2 servings since I was cooking just for myself.Next I forgot the green pepper. Then, since I only needed a couple of Tbls. tomato sauce I used some salsa instead.I baked the meatloaf in 4 muffin cups. This meatloaf was excellent!!!!I have tried a number of the highly rated meatloaves on this site and have been disappointed numerous times. This one did not disappoint. In fact, I think I can stop searching for a good meatloaf recipe now because this is THE ONE, as far as I’m concerned.Thank you, Caryn!!!”
