Melon with Blueberries

    “This salad may introduce some new fruits to the wee ones. Get the wee ones involved with fixing this fruit salad for their snack or mealtime? Serving size is figured for a 1-5 year old child.”

    Ingredients

  • 2cupscantaloupe, cubed
  • 2cupshoneydew melon, cubed
  • 2cupswatermelon, cubed
  • 1cupblueberries
  • 2tablespoons sugar or 2tablespoonshoney
  • 2tablespoonslemon juice
  • fresh mint leaves(optional)
  • Directions

  • Combine fruit.
  • Mix together honey and lemon juice and pour over fruit.
  • Toss to mix.
  • Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.

I do have to mention that it is not properly food combined as per https://detoxifynow.com/Images/foodcombining%20(Small).jpg. I would leave out the blueberries another time as they are too acidic. I used honeydew, baby watermelon, organic blueberries, organic, raw, local honey, freshly squeezed lemon juice and no mint. Made for Healthy Choices Tag Game 2013.”
