“Heeding the reviews about not being a sweet cookie, I took the liberty of drizzling red & green powdered sugar glazes over the cooled cookies. The result was apretty cookie that was just sweet enough and produced over 6 dozen little melt-in-your-mouth gems! Thanks, Sackville, I’ll make these again!!”
“These definitely do melt in your mouth! I halved the recipe and got 29 cookies. Not too sweet, I thought they were perfect. I used pecans and baked for 20 minutes. Thanks for the recipe!”

“MMMM….melt in your mouth good! My 2 yr old loved them:) Thanks for an easy recipe! Made a batch without nuts and on the 2nd batch sprinkled fine ground almonds on top.”
“They really do melt in your mouth.and yummily too.I like them because they aren’t overly sweet but the kids wanted powdered sugar on them..Very easy to make and something the kids can make easily. Thanks for the recipe SG.”
“I thought these cookies were excellent. I made them very small, into 1/2 balls, with lots of pecans. I made them later with whole wheat flour, which gave them a lovely nutty taste. I also think they would be great rolled in nuts before baking. An awesome recipe, and very easy!”
“These are great, and definitely melt in your mouth. Just like little round shortbreads.I used 1 cup of pecans and 1 cup of walnuts for my nuts. And the best part? I got 72 of these little gems!Im going to use them in my Christmas baskets, thanks for sharing.”
