  • “Quite simple – just how I like it.A little more complicated than mine, and can be a hassle if you are in a rush, but if you have time, I highly advise this method of making the perfect accompenement of lamb.”

  • “This was so easy and so great! I worried it would be too sweet but it was just right with lamb. Will add even more fresh mint the next time! Thank you Evie!”

  • “Delicious! I thought the flavour was perfect and it was great served over roast lamb and vegies.”

  • “excellent! made to have with curry, used some on the sliced tomato, and added some to the finished curry.”

  • “Simple. elegant. Tasty. Im lucky to have round-leaf mint, it’s perfect for this sauce, but spearmint works too. Its the malt vinegar that makes it. As good as the imported sauces only a LOT more economical. Thanks for a great recipe.”

  • “I made this to go with my DH and MILs lamb shanks, while my daughter and I had it over steamed veggies. I did like it, but personally I thought it was a little too sweet, I prefer a more vinegar-y sauce, but everyone else raved about it, so I will be making it again! Thankyou :)”

  • “I needed some mint sauce for another recipe and made this one up. Found that it only made 1/2 Cup in quantity not a whole cup as stated. I will probably make again if caught in a pinch but probably not as a replacement for shop bought.”

  • “This was perfect!I found some shoulder steaks at my local grocery for a reasonable price, so bought on a whim.Rubbed my steaks with a mix of olive oil, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper, fresh chopped rosemary and fresh minced garlic. Then grilled 5 minutes per side.We thought this sauce was just wonderful. It will be the sauce I use for my Easter leg of lamb. Thanks so much!”

  • “Evie, I can’t buy mint sauce here in NL so instead of muttering about it I decided to tackle some home made to complete a dish of expensive lamb chops we’d splashed out on… Ohh, perfect !!! Why look for shop bought stuff ever again ? this is sooo much better, full of flavour, simple easy ingredients, easy to make, and now I’m wondering why have I taken so long to make mint sauce myself ? I was tempted to double or tripple the recipe as it didn’t *seem* like an awful lot, but it totally filled a small glass condiment container that I had, a little goes a long way and it’s super quick to make more when necessary so I will never be without mintsauce again and I’m really really happy about that. Please see my rating system, a very well deserved 5 stars !! Thanks !”

  • “This is exactally how Mum and both my Grandmothers used to make their mint sauce. Fantastic on lamb and so much better than store brought. Thanks Evie* for bringing back some great memories!”
