Modern Porcelain Cup Yunomi by shoshonasnow

I have actually had a lot of demands making mugs without handles, for small planters or cups (a yunomi) … so here you go …

Made on the potter’s wheel, the porcelain was cut and put back together. Painted with black slip (liquid clay) then thoroughly sculpted to expose the white porcelain beneath. This gives it great structure and a very graphic quality. Dishwasher and microwave safe as typical (however be mindful, porcelain fumes). Glazed with a bright blue and a thin layer of clear over the black and white.

It determines 3 inches high roughly 4 inches wide at the top. Holds approx. 6 oz. of liquid.
