  • “Fabulous!Definitely a five star recipe.Hearty oats and flour give these guys a great chew while still retaining that classic “cookie” flavor (must be all that butter!)Next time I may add a bit more chocolate chips to satisfy my addiction. Also might slightly reduce salt because I tend to use salted butter.”

  • “So Yummy! Made these last night and they were loved…i halved the recipe because this recipe makes so many…They were not too sweet which was good, i like sweet cookies but i dont like when cookies taste like nothing but sugar. The only thing i changed on the recipe was the chocolate chip amount…i added a little extra…maybe 1/2 cup more… I will definitly store this one away!!”

  • “I followed the recipe exactly and mine are lacking flavor big time. They are a great texture but I suppose my family is too used to really sweet cookies. I won’t be making them again.”

  • “This is a very good recipe, but I think the COOK (me) made some kind of mistake. Mine were so thin and ran together, so I had to use a spatula to cut them into squares in the first 2 pans. I added another cup of oats and that seemed to help somewhat. What was good about this recipe is that they are chewy instead of crumbly. I sent the batch (even the square ones) to our ROTC cadet at LDAC at Ft. Lewis, WA. I wrapped stacks of 6 or 8 in plastic wrap and then put stacks in zip-lock bags. I think they will ship very well.”

  • “My 11 year old daughter and her 12 year old friend made these on their own today and they turned out fantastic!A bit healthier than a regular chocolate chip cookie, but every bit as good!”

  • “very nice cookies they are a keeper, kind of healthy, i did half the recipe just to try them, i only used 1 teaspoon of the soda, and no salt, and they were absolutely delicious, now to try them on my grandson, to see if he detects the OATS(oh i ground them a little in the food processer), AND i added more choc ,chips thanks , from june”

  • “The flavor was great but I could not get them to come out like a cookie. They were very thi nand hard to remove from the pan – more like an oatmeal crumble, but delicious flavor!”

  • “I substituted dried cranberries and blueberries for the chocolate chips so I could take them on a road trip with no melting worries. They were great. The family was taking the extras home to have with coffee in the morning. This recipe is a keeper!”

  • “These were AMAZING!The best we had eaten in awhile!”

  • “Delicious! I love how these cookies incorporate so much whole grain. Not that they are terribly healthy, per se, but it does make you feel less guilty about eating a couple more than you should. 🙂 I halved the recipe and threw in about a cup and a half of dried cranberries, which turned out very yummy. My only concern is the amount of salt in the recipe – my cookies turned out with a slight, but noticable salty taste. I’m sure this is due to the fact that I used salted butter instead of unsalted (all I had on hand), so when I make this recipe again I think I will cut the amount of added salt at least by half, or use unsalted butter if I have it. Thanks for a winning cookie recipe!”

  • “I used a a bag of butterscotch chips and a bag of chocolate chips. I really love that its made with mostly whole wheat flour and oatmeal. I used a 1 oz ice cream scoop and cooked my cookies for about 8 minutes. It makes just tons of cookies which was what I was loking for. They were not flat and chewy like some chocolate chip cookie recipes. Thanks for a keeper.”

  • “These were great!I like that there is no white sugar and the whole wheat flour and oats make this recipe seem much healthier. Thanks for sharing!”

  • “Really great recipe. We added more chocolate chips for the second batch.”

  • “Good recipe; we made the full batch and ended up with a ton of cookies. I wasn’t quite sure as to the size of the cookie ‘roll’ before baking, but we used 1 inch diameter which worked.”

  • “These are among the best cookies I have ever tasted! They smelled so yummy while baking, and the dough was so good by itself, I debated not baking them at all!:)They are perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing about them!”

  • “Awsome! These are great cookies.I added a 1/4c. of wheat germ and a 1/4 less whole wheat flour. Thanks!”

  • “Great recipe! I cut it in half, and used 100% Organic ingredients. My son and husband request these all the time. I also added just a tad more butter, this made mine kind of chewy. Definitely YUM!!!! Nuts are good in them as well.”

  • “Wow!We LOVE these!I cut the recipe in half. The dough wasn’t sticky at all.I rolled it into walnut-sized balls and baked them at the specified temp for about 15 minutes per tray, and I ended up with 4 dozen cookies. They are slightly chewy in the centers. It’s almost impossible to eat just one!!!I love all the whole wheat flour in this recipe. Thanks!”
