The Romney sheep breed is originally from the Kent location of England, although large flocks do exist in the US these days. This Romney wool is a medium luster wool. It is among the finest (fiber diameter) fleeces I have actually ever had the satisfaction to deal with, is very soft, and is courtesy of a farm in New york city state.

Like all my handspun yarns, it was dyed with color and lightfast dyes for permanence and after I spun the fiber it was bathed in an option containing lavender and cedar wood essential oil, a natural insect repellant.
