Chemistry was a struggle for me in high school. Now I’m having enjoyable playing with atoms! The first in my Elemental Series is the Carbon atom. It is everywhere and in every living thing, including YOU!

I’ve wrapped sterling silver wire into a spiral shape that represents the nucleus of an atom, and embellished it with 3mm sterling silver beads that represent electrons. The number of beads is figured out by the atomic number of the component. Carbon’s atomic number is 6, with 2 electrons in the inner valence and 4 in the outer valence.
