This pattern works magnificently in both synthetic fur and mohair, long pile or short. Mix and match colours to produce different types and coat impacts but try and stick to natural tones and practical cavy colours to provide the finest true-to-life effect.

For the ADULT sized plushie you will need:
* 1/ 4m of overall fur – you will have some left over (this could be comprised of smaller sized pieces in several colours)
* 14-16mm black glass eyes (security eyes are best for giving plushie to a youngster)
* approx 300-500g of bead shot
* approx 150 – 200g of stuffing (depending on how firmly you pack it in)
* embroidery thread for stitching the nose
For the CHILD sized plushie you will require:
* 1/ 8m of total fur (this could be comprised of smaller sized pieces in numerous colours)
* 8-10mm black glass eyes (safety eyes are best for giving plushie to a child)
* approx 200-300g of bead shot
* approx 100g of stuffing (depending upon how firmly you pack it in)
* embroidery thread for sewing the nose
