This listing is for three 2 oz braids of combed top in Customized Sock Blend. The blend is 65 % Superwash merino, 20 % alpaca, 20 % nylon, and 5 % silk. It was dyed in 3 tones of brick red. I utilize professional acid dyes for colorfastness.
Using the three braids for different plies in a three-ply sock yarn will provide a lovely tonal yarn. Additionally, the shades can be utilized to spin a gradient yarn.
Although the wool is superwash, I recommend hand cleaning/ drying, as the alpaca can still felt. However, this mix will produce a durable sock yarn. While the fiber is not rather as soft as my child alpaca rovings, it is still soft and will be beautiful to spin.
