“I’ve made this caserole many times…it’s a real keeper, and has always been a big hit at Pot-Luck luncheons at my workplace.I put Pace Pacante sauce on the top, and then sprinkle with shredded cheese.”

“Derf, Delicious! I had pinto beans and I had about 1 cup of diced cooked chicken and some white diced onions so used those with the hamburger. I did add some cumin.This was so easy!
I got a call to pick apples tonight and thought this was the recipe to make! I used cheddar cheese and of course the sour cream. I can hardly wait tomorrow to reheat the leftovers. Our son is gone to school so we do have leftovers now! Thanks for posting.”
“I just made this for dinner and was excited about it due to all the positive reviews…but I found it to be unedible. The tortilla shells became really soggy,which is bad for someone that is big on texture like me. It also seemed a bit dry as another reviewer stated.”
“I’ve made this twice, first time I used kidney beans, second time, pinto beans. It’s good both ways and so easy to make. This will be made often with ingredients I have on hand. I added minced onions and garlic when browning the meat. Made with low fat sour cream and put it under the broiler to brown the cheese at the end. Second time I reduced the meat to 1/2 LB and it was still Delicious !!! Thank you !!!”

The creamy sour cream filling in the middle was very nice and I lovegreen chilies. I had a little more than two teaspoons of chili powder left so I used it all. “This is truly a no-fail recipe. I’ve made it several times with additionas/variations, including flour tortillas, green salsa, black olives, black beans…Anything that you like in tacos/burritos/chili would work great in this recipe. Plus it’s all the stuff you’re likely to have on hand.And I love that I can throw it together in the morning and have it ready to stick in the oven when we get home. Thanks for posting!”
“Derf, you did it again! LOVED it. We made our tortillas due to allergies. I used canned refried beans, ground chicken, salsa, sourcream and cheddar. Baked it up and served quacamole on the side. I know, not your exact recipe, but I didn’t have some things in stock, so I used what i had. I made this saturday and everyone wanted it again tuesday!”
“Loved this casserole!I had all the ingredients onhand, with the exception of the cilantro.I did have green onions, so I just chopped a few and used that for garnish on top.The only other change was to add cumin, as some of the other reviewers suggested.Thanks for a keeper, Derf!”

“Excellent recipe and so quick and simple to make. I made a few changes, starting with me forgetting to buy sour cream, so I did what one of the other reviewers suggested and added about 1/2 cup of salsa instead. I also added about 3/4 tsp each of ground corriander and ground cumin for extra flavour. We don’t get canned green chilies here in the UK either so I used some pickled jalapenos instead, but reduced the amount so it wouldn’t get too hot. Thanks for sharing, Derf, this will become a regular at my house.”
