Vintage 1925 Fight of Bunker Hillside 150th Anniversary Visitor Pass / Card American War Ephemera

Delightfully aged guest pass marking the 150th Anniversay of Battle of Bunker Hillside.

The beginning to the American Revolution-Briefly, according to Wiki:

The Fight of Bunker Hill happened on June 17, 1775, primarily on and around Breed’s Hill, throughout the Siege of Boston early in the American Revolutionary War. The fight is called after the adjacent Bunker Hillside, which was peripherally included in the fight and was the original objective of both colonial and British troops, and is sometimes described as the “Fight of Type’s Hill.”

Celebratory events marked the sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) in 1925, although I am having trouble discovering truly any information about it ~ I guess if you are up in Boston area it is more a spoken timeline of the events.

This card-approx. 2 1/2″ high X 4 1/4″ broad, has the guest’s name pencilled in in rounded script-
Mr. John J. McIntosh. Previously ivory white with black and green ink, it now shows the smudges and finger prints of 88 years of storage and hands. The leading left corner is creased, but no rips, ink or awful flaws.

There is a light green emblem seal that I honestly can not make out other than the word BOSTONIA.

This is a truly special and rare piece of Americana. Our hoarder friend had it stashed, however we desire it appreciated as an upcyled piece to your art, Dad-type card, or for a teacher, Historian, Bostonian, whoever will actually appreciate it-Можно purchase on Etsy for wolfmansmummy
