Vintage 1940’s red & black striped fitted gabardine jacket. Identified fashioned by Zim New york city.
This jacket is in excellent vintage condition. Nevertheless, the 3rd button down does have some obvious wear to black part of the fabric. The lining is in exceptional condition.
Made from a light-weight wool gabardine fabric (which also has a small embossed pattern to it, as well as the stripes). This coat has HUGE shoulder pads, flared strong black sleeve cuffs and self cover buttons up the front. Lined with strong black satin crepe. No pockets.
The measurements on this jacket are:
36 & quot; & quot; bust 26 & quot;/ 27 & quot; waist 32.5 & quot; at hemline 25 & quot; & quot; in total length
with 22.25 & quot; & quot; sleeves 14.25 & quot; & quot; throughout the back between the shoulders at the narrowest point
The method this jacket is built … with the stripes … fantastic.
In as found condition and has actually not been dry cleanted by me.
Thanks very much!
