Enjoy the flattering style and tailored look of this vintage 40’s girls coat, including strong shoulders, fitted waist, and captivating over sized abalone buttons by Forstmann.

The Art Deco coat is comprised of a light charcoal gray wool with buttercup yellow rayon crepe interior. It has a pointed notched collar, padded shoulders, long sleeves with turned up pointed cuffs, nipped waist, faux pocket plackets, and big square novelty buttons made of abalone shell.

The corner pointers on some of the buttons are somewhat nicked, and for the bottom button it appears to have actually been done purposely maybe to much better insert it into the button hole – however does not influence appearance or function. Likewise, the interior lining reveals a faint sweat ring at the underarms (see pic 4), however this is entirely hidden within.
