Splendidly in-depth panels of carved abalone masks, rotating with rectangle-shaped abalone panels in beautiful ornate panels. The rectangle-shaped abalone panels have quite areas of color at centers. The sculpted mask panels have the traditional ‘ears’ on each side of the mask. Sadly, as is frequently the case on mask bracelets, all but among the earring dangles are gone. All the abalone panels and masks are intact, with no marks, chips or cracks. The hinges are in good condition and they enable the bracelet to easily curve around the wrist. The tab type clasp closes and holds firmly, and is well concealed when closed (image 1 – did you discover the tab?)
Bracelet is 7-1/ 4 & quot; & quot; long (without tab) x 1 & quot; & quot; large and is in excellent vintage condition. The bracelet is NOT marked sterling silver. I believe it to be exactly what is described as german silver or alpaca; an alloy which might or may not include silver. In addition to the goldish shade of the finish, this bracelet has a wonderful patina that comes just from it’s age.
