Primitive 1/2 bushel split wood event basket. This was bought at a regional estate sale. I was able to learn that this was utilized in their big family garden for about 50 years! WOW! It is so sturdy even being made use of and for that long a time period. STRONG!
The wood slats have gained a good weathered patina. The red trim around the top has also weathered-giving that distressed barn red appearance. The slats are all undamaged and tight. With the only exception being the bottom band has a horizontal split of about 2 & quot;& quot;. Does not remove from the sturdiness. It might be trimmed away.
