Vintage Red Glass Fist Beads, Czechoslovakian Amulet Drops, Fika (8) by PickleValentine
5,00 USD
Eight red vintage glass fist beads from Czechoslovakia, made in the 1950s. They measure 14 by 7 millimeters from leading to bottom, with a hole at the top. These charms, called fika or figa, were believed to fend off evil and bring excellent luck to the user. The fist is a sign of resistance in the face of oppression going back to Assyrian times. With their history in mind, these are great for amulet pouches, pendants, bracelet charms, earrings and costumes, especially as trim.
