This sweet upholstered kid’s Rocking chair was found at an estate auction. Back story is – the owner was an amateur furniture maker. He had a work space filled with all the devices required. What was a hobby eventually became an interest and than his living. He built this chair for his child in the late 1950’s and it was given to grandchildren and than to a nephew. It was in this family for fairly some time. However sadly, as in a lot of circumstances, changes take place and mementos are sold. This chair is so well preserved. A leather like soft butter colored material is made use of with a contrasting cream for the piping. The fabric is extremely soft and quite comfy. Little tacks are used for connecting and for embellishment.
It determines 15 & quot; & quot; tall at the back, 11 & quot; & quot; at the side arms, almost 7 & quot; & quot; at the front seat. All previous measurements were from the floor up. The seat determines 9.5 & quot; & quot; x 10 & quot;. The armrests step 3 & quot; & quot; broad. The rocker runners measure 19 & quot; & quot; long. Condition is great! There is a tiny nick in the fabric at the top of the seat back. Very very little. Also on the seat bottom in front is a red mark. Sadly, that is the workmanship of the auction helper. Why do they utilize long-term markers ?!
