Wilderness Festival Photo Diary

This post comes from Julia of the blog Stylonylon

Just an hour outside of London, Wilderness Festival takes places on a beautiful estate nestled in the Oxfordshire countryside.

It’s one of the most idyllic locations I’ve ever seen for a festival; huge swathes of grass and tree-lined avenues, a small hill leading up and over to a beautiful lake for fresh-water swimming, and a water-side spa where you can bathe in wood-fired hot-tubs under the stars at night.

Before you even reach the music stages, you pass through boutique camping and countless tents and yurts dedicated to practically every alternative therapy you can think of – sound therapy, cranio sacral therapy, aromatherapy massage, and inversion to name just a few. And then, of course, there’s a huge yoga tent running dynamic and restorative classes day and night.

Next up, something to eat? Open cafes and tented restaurants from London foodie favourites St John’s, HIX, Polpo, and Moro mixed up with a whole load of street food vans and yurt cafes – we loved Tea & Toast and Coyote Moon! The vibe is very relaxed and full of hippie chic families and friends setting up for a few days to enjoy their morning swims and yoga session before chilling out to the bands and DJs. Throw in cookery lessons with ingredients sourced from the woods, moonlit forest walks, horse riding and archery… why would you ever want to go home?

Dancing on hay bales, handmade feather lashes and gold leafed cheekbones are just the beginning…
