Yarnbow – handspun self-striping / color-changing wool yarn by folktale
36,00 USD< p class= "description"> This skein stripes through 32 different hand-dyed colors that do not repeat. I spun it so that it will stripe through the rainbow (sort of) – it begins with white then goes through yellows, oranges, reds, brown, black, greens, blues, purples, and grays. I dye the fiber in large batches, and all the skeins presently offered are from the same dyelot.
< br/ > You can see some photos of one skein of Yarnbow knit into an oversized cowl here (the color development is the exact same in all skeins):

incredibly soft natural polwarth wool from the falkland islands. No herbicides, pesticides, dips, footbaths or regular injections are used on their sheep, and no bleach or other chemicals in the processing of the wool. It is softer than my normal merino x wool, and the yarn is hardwearing (thanks to the long staple of the polwarth wool), a little drapey, and has a small shine to it. It reminds me a little bit of a cross in between a bouncy fine wool like merino and a soft longwool like blue faced leicester.< br/ > This yarn is about a bulky weight, so I ‘d suggest around US 13
+knitting needles. This skein is lots of yarn for a big hat, headscarf, a pair or 2 of fingerless gloves, smallish legwarmers, or??< br/ > Yarnbow: 120+yds organic polwarth wool
